Pathfinder Trail
Indian Point Landing

Relax and Enjoy the View

The City of Fulton is pleased to introduce Pathfinder Trail  to all interested citizens.  In 2005, the City of Fulton received a grant from the New York State Department of State to develop Indian Point and Pathfinder Trail along the canal system starting at Indian Point and continuing south to Davis-Standard. This section of the Oswego River is the only publicly owned riverfront property left in the City of Fulton

This administration plans to complete the development and restoration for the public to enjoy now and for future generations to come.  At the close of 2010, the first phase of the trail was completed.  On this trail, fishing piers, benches and a paved walking area are being provided.  It has taken four years to complete all the necessary permits from four seperate state and federal agencies in order for us to start the cleanup and beautification of these areas.  Motorized vehicles will not be allowed on the trail.  Eventually as the economy improves, there are plans for pavillions to be built for events such as concerts, flea markets or family picnics.  The State Route 481 corridor in this area will be marketed to businesses that will compliment the beautiful waterfront.

The City of Fulton's portion of the grant was provided by in-kind services, utilizing our very talented city forces.

I encourage citizens to visit this area, enjoy the serenity as well as the beauty of the natural plantings and wildlife you will find in this area.  Please feel free to offer any of your ideas as we progress to its completion.

Please take the time to enjoy the pictures below cataloging the progress of this Trail.
