 YARD WASTE AND LEAF PICKUP

  

~~~YARD WASTE MUST BE GENERATED FROM THE CITY OF FULTON~~

 

THIS PROGRAM IS TO ASSIST IN YARD MAINTENANCE AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR LAND CLEARING, TREE/HEDGE REMOVAL.

 

The yard waste policy is intended for the use of City of Fulton Residents, and excludes waste left by any professional service provider. Yard Waste does not include dirt, stone, lumber or debris resulting from tree removal of a private or professional tree service. It is the responsibility of the service provider to remove and dispose of all waste.

 

Yard waste and leaves will be picked up by the City of Fulton Department of Public Works starting the beginning of April and will continue through the end of November

West side of the river: 1st & 3rd week of the month

East side of the river: 2nd & 4th week of the month

Christmas trees will also be picked up during the holiday season

 

Trimmed tree branches no larger than 6 inches in diameter, shrubbery and other trimmings shall be placed into piles meeting the following requirements:

  • Total amount of all piles to be put out on any given week may not exceed 8 feet in length, 3 feet in height, and 3 feet in depth (about the size of a couch)
     
  • The piles will be placed neatly to the curb, not in the street and not obstructing sidewalks

 

Grass, brush, leaves and seedlings small enough to be raked up shall be placed in any of the following containers:

  • Loose leaves may be placed in neat piles to the curb, not in the street and not obstructing sidewalks in order to be disposed of using the leaf mulcher vacuum.
     
  • Appropriate metal or plastic containers, none of which when filled shall exceed the weight of 50 pounds

  • Paper and plastic bags of any color.

Residents could also consider mulcing leaves with lawnmoweres to serve as fertilizer for quick disposal.

THE CITY OF FULTON RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY LOAD THAT DOES NOT ADHERE TO THESE REQUIREMENTS.
